More About The Audi SQ5

The Audi SQ5 is a compact SUV crossover offering from the German manufacturer since 2008. It is currently in its second generation (2018 – current) with custom concept cars, hybrid, and Quattro models on offer. The used Audi SQ5 is based on the Cross Cabriolet concept car designed in the early 2000s with extra performance

The exterior five-door design is a well-know silhouette on the South African roads and an extension of Audi's design evolution from demure to bold and aggressive with a sportier big grille, prominent curves, and chrome finish in the latest offerings. Front air vents and matte-grey finish for the grille combined with subtle aluminum details complete a high-performance image in the third and fourth generation. The signature S door mirrors and exhaust tips complete the image.

The interior is plush and luxurious with first-class finishes and upholstery. The cabin is dotted with clues to a sportier vehicle, with embellished S logos, contrasting stitching, and sport seats. Upgrade to a higher trim level and get the Nappa leather upholstery. Electronic embellishments include satellite navigation, electrical adjustment for seats, and three-zone climate control. Space is ample, both for passengers and cargo

Owning up to the S-line expectation, the pre owned Audi SQ5 combines a smooth drive train with a grip that offers torque bias resulting in surprising handling and speed. Weighing in at just almost 2tons, the SQ5 reaches 0 - 100km per hour in 5,72 seconds. As expected from a high-performance vehicle, there is a bouquet of Drive Select adaptive systems from comfort to sport. The SQ5 car shares the Volkswagen chassis of the A4 and VW Passat, which is lighter with a sports diff to navigate under-steering. Driving is smooth thanks to damping control, which is electrically controlled unless you want the high-performance feel and switch to sports mode.

Proving to be a very popular vehicle, the engine configurations available after several concepts and two facelifts include 2litre and 3litre V6 diesel and petrol with manual and Tiptronic transmissions ranging from 6-speed to 7-speed, all with Audi's all-wheel-drive Quattro. V6 is not a far-fetched configuration in high-performance and adds to towing capability of between 0.75 tons and 2,4 tons. Depending on engine configuration (V6 needing more fuel), the combined fuel consumption has been recorded at around 8.4litres per 100 kilometers.
