Mazda CX5: My childhood Fascination

Mazda CX5: My childhood Fascination

Mazda East Rand’s New Car Sales Manager Alain Lewis is thrilled with the new addition to their family and proudly shows off the new CX5 of which is currently trending within the SA Motor community. Alain has given me the opportunity to review this stunning release and I must admit after my introduction to this elegant looking machine, I am now, more so then ever before, convinced that Mazda is a manufacturer that I shall give a lot of credit to. Or more so I would like it to be at the forefront of people’s minds when considering a new car.

Whilst the car is aimed at family orientated people who feel modern features and safety are significant requirements, it is also for people that would like for their car to stand out from the crowd, for those who desire the unique aspects of the ultimate driving experience. Like most of Mazda’s offerings, the buying age is quite young, and even though the gender split is 50/50, as a women and mother I could easily endorse the CX5 as an all-round satisfier.

Here’s my thing, whilst I spent the first 20 years of my life travelling in my dad’s Mazda, and my husband currently driving the older Mazda BT-50 I am curious to find out why it is that more and more people are drawn to this brand. Thanks to Mazda East Rand, the CX5 is where I am beginning to explore my childhood fascination and current fixation in this constantly evolving creation.

While I only got to really inspect, feel and touch the new CX5, I have already been  impressed by its LED head and front fog lamps, auto headlamps, newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, new exterior colours, rear ventilation, and its USB for rear center armrest. I loved the feel of its leather seats, auto fold mirrors, and its power adjustable lumber support driver seat. The Individual derivative goes even further with a 10-speaker Bose system, head-up display and electric tail gate as well as its advanced safety features.

In a few weeks, courtesy of Mazda East Rand, I will get to spend a few days with the 2,0-litre automatic and I cannot wait to tell you more about my experience driving this gorgeous creation.

In the meantime, I must also mention that the CX5 is priced below much of the competition and is certainly value for money. For more information and a convenient introduction to the CX5 Visit Mazda Eastrand
