Nissan will release a blinged-up version of the Nissan Navara in September - and they're adamant that the stylish embellishments will not make it any less tough.
There will be 200 units of the Nissan Navara Titanium, so it's going to be pretty exclusive. It's available in 4x2 and 4x4 guises, with prices starting off at R374 000 and R415 000 for the latter.
On the outside, the Navara gets titanium-coloured wheels and a satin-smoked-finish front grille. It also gets a front bull bar, tonneau cover, all-terrain tyres, embossed carpets and a keyring with 'Titanium" branding. The bumper, side mirrors and door handles all get the titanium trim treatment too.
Powering the Nissan Navara Titanium is a 2.5-litre turbocharged-diesel engine, delivering 128kW of power and 403Nm of torque. This is mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
"The Nissan Navara Titanium Special Version really brings into being the toughness of the Navara and is perfect for individuals who like to take the road less travelled. It has been well-positioned and offers great value in an exclusive package," said Marinus Venter, product manager for the Navara at Nissan South Africa.
