BMW has a trio of new models to present to the Goodwood crowd. The new i8 will be among these, wearing the title of BMW’s most advanced sport car ever. Also with the grand title of the most powerful production car in BMW’s history, the BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition will be strutting its stuff. Alongside these will be the M4 Coupé coupled with a stand for the line-up of the new BMW M cars.
The new BMW i8 will be the new hybrid sport car. It will be using a three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, with a 1.5-litre capacity, together with an electric motor. Using both power sources, the i8 will sprint from zero to 100km/h in 4.4 seconds. The electronically limited top speed is 250km/h. Combined fuel consumption stands at an incredible 1.74l/100km.
The BMW M5 30 Jahre Edition will represent 30 years of the successful M5. Only 300 vehicles will be available worldwide. It will boast 441kW of power and 700Nm of torque. The M5 30 Jahre Edition will dart from zero to 100km/h in a remarkable 3.9 seconds. The BMW M4 Individual Coupé built for the UK will make its debut at Goodwood. The Tanzanite Blue metallic Coupé will be the first ever M4 built in a BMW Individual colour and with a Merino leather upholstery interior from the BMW Individual Collection.
The new BMW M3 Saloon and new BMW M4 Convertible will also be on display to wow the crowd. The M4 Convertible has lightweight engineering, aerodynamic details, a race-focused chassis and electronic driver assistance technologies. The BMW M4 Convertible will only launch overseas in September.
On display will also be the BMW X4. It combines some features of the BMW X family with some characters of a classical coupé, resulting in BMW’s first Sports Activity Coupé (SAC) for the premium mid-size segment.
