Following its local introduction in December last year, GWM has added another derivative to the H6 SUV line-up. The 1.5 T model benefits from added boost. Power is rated at 105kW and 210Nm of torque.
Buyers will pay R309 999. This is R15099 more than the indicative amount GWM quoted in their H6 release last year. The 2.0 TCI model goes for R369 999.
But the warranty has also been extended to a five-year/100 000-kilometre term. A five-year/60 000-kilometre service plan has been added too. Plentiful standard kit has always been a hallmark of Chinese newcomers. And the H6 is loaded with gear.
A colour touch-screen interface is standard; USB connectivity, a mini-SD slot and Bluetooth are standard. It also has satellite audio controls, a reverse camera, climate control, cruise control and rain-sensing wipers. Dual front airbags and anti-lock brakes are included. As is keyless-go.
Inspecting the H6 at JIMS last year, things looked promising. We are keen to see if it delivers on the anticipation when we assess it soon.
