It boasts one of the most spacious cabins in its class. The boot matches with a space of 475 litres. Bluetooth connectivity is also part of the mix.
GWM strived to endow it with a Eurocentric look. You get 15-inch alloy wheels and six colour choices: Titanium White, Star Silver, Noble Grey, Jazzy Red, Ocean Blue and Pearl Black. Like the C10 and C20R hatchbacks, the C30 is powered by GWM’s 1,5-litre VVT-i engine that delivers 71kW and 138 Nm of torque. Running costs promised to be kept low by the standard service plan with 15 000-kilometre intervals.
The engine delivers a combined cycle fuel consumption figure of 7,3 L/100 km and powers the C30 to a 170 km/h top speed. Power is shifted via a five-speed manual transmission.
Dual front airbags are included with height adjustable seatbelts. Anti-lock brakes and electronic brake-force distribution are standard. The C30 goes for R179 999. A five-year/100 000-kilometre warranty is included.
