The never-say-die attitude of the Jeep Wrangler makes it a hit among serious adventure types. A rugged and simplistic nature has always been part of its charm. New limited edition models aim to spark greater interest in the Wranger locally.
Buyers can now have the Polar Edition models, available in two-door and four-door Unlimited guises. The manly face gets treated to some classy black embellishments. And it rolls on 18-inch aluminium wheels with polished outer edges.
Body colored roof panels also feature and to keep prying eyes out, deep tinted glass has also been thrown in. It has a beefier bonnet complete with a power bulge and mountain motifs. Buyers can pick from a trio of colours: Hydro Blue, Billet Metallic and Bright White.
Leather seats – heated – and embroidered logos feature inside. Glossy paint has been slapped on components like the steering wheel spokes and instrument cluster dials. The UConnect navigation and infotainment system, familiar from other Chrysler Group models, is standard.
The Polar Edition 3.6 V6 goes for R482 990 while its larger sibling, the Unlimited, is priced at R522 990. A three-year/100 000-kilometre warranty is included.
