With a sportier slant infused into their latest offerings, Lexus is on a mission to fight the perennials. The new F-Sport variant of its RC Coupe makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week.
Upfront it wears the distinctive new “spindle grille” which seems to divide opinion. Model-specific badging, 19-inch wheels finished in metallic paint and three exclusive colours set it apart from its subdued sibling.
Beneath the skin, the F-Sport gets a revised front and rear suspension. The automaker’s Dynamic Handling system, which incorporates rear-wheel steering, is also available. On the inside it sports an LFA-style instrument cluster and more F-Sport accoutrements. The Dark Rose upholstery colour is also exclusive to this model.
In RC 350 guise power comes from a V6 engine with 234kW and 380Nm of torque. Figures that are suited to tackling BMW 435i territory. The RC model is expected to land locally later this year.
