The time for the current Mercedes-Benz C-Class to bid adieu is nearly here. But before it bows out, a range of special edition models will do the rounds.
The Edition C versions of the C-Class feature a model-specific radiator grille, glossy black embellishments and 17-inch alloy wheels with a high-sheen finish.
The Edition C models are available in sedan, estate and coupe variants. But there’s also a new derivative; the C300. It boasts a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 6.9 seconds and has 185kW and 340Nm on tap.
Edition C models also get the COMAND Online multimedia system, with live traffic information that warns in advance of congestion. There’s also a Harmon Kardon audio system which you can order as an extra.
These Edition C appointments add around R5900 to the price of the coupe, sedan and estate. The new C300, with Edition C trim goes for R499 443. As with the rest of the Mercedes-Benz line-up, a comprehensive six-year/100 000-kilometre maintenance plan is standard.
