Mercedes-Benz has never disappointed, and they plan to keep it that way. They introduce the new S65 AMG with a 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine. The car boasts a number of standard equipment and impressive specifications.
On the outside, it sports a large, three-dimensional V12 radiator grille with its six twin louvres in high-gloss chrome which match the side sill panels and the trim of the high-gloss black rear diffuser insert.
Inside are AMG sports seats. The have electric adjustment, memory function, seat heating and climate control as standard features.
Also standard, and extremely innovative are the head-up display and the touchpad. The head-up display projects important information such as vehicle speed, speed limits, navigation information and traffic signs onto the windscreen – allowing the driver to continue looking at the road while seeing all the information they require.The new Mercedes-Benz touchpad makes operating the radio, telephone and navigation system easier.
Some of the standard features to expect will be adjustable ambient lighting, Attention Assist, Burmester 3D surround system, Chauffeur and Exclusive Packages, Media Interface a 360-degree camera (!) and so much more. The S 65 AMG will also be equipped with substantial safety equipment. Comfort and safety have merged into one and Mercedes-Benz calls it “Intelligent Drive”. New systems make the new S-Class even more comfortable and safer: the Rear Pre Safe package will be optional, and the Night View Assist Plus will come as standard.
Boasting 463 kW of output and 1000 Nm of torque S 65 AMG accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). It also prides itself on its fuel consumption figure which is 11.9l/100km.
