Mercedes-Benz doesn’t compromise in their top model. Top of the S-Class is the S 600 L with V12 biturbo engine which has a power output of 390 kW and 830 Nm of torque. The combined fuel consumption of the S 600 stands at 11.1 litres/100km.
A head-up display is a new standard feature for the S 600 L. Just take a look at our previous article on the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG. Another feature which is standard is the Collision Prevention Assist Plus. This system ensures that if the danger of collision persists and the driver fails to respond, it will brake for them, reducing accident severity.
A nifty feature on the S600 is electric windscreen heating – imagine not having to struggle with a watering can on those freezing winter mornings to see out of your windscreen. This convenient feature is called Magic vision control.
The S 600 L comes standard with the “Chauffeur package”. The package basically ensures that passengers will have more leg room. Five rear seat variants are available for the long-wheelbase version. All rear seats are adjustable.
As with all Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, the S 600 L comes standard with the class-leading six year/100 000 km Premium Drive maintenance plan. The S 600 L will cost R2 170 000.
