An all-new V12 S-Class Coupé has been added to the AMG family. The new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG Coupé is the fourth AMG high-performance car to receive a V12 engine. The S 65 will sport a 6.0-litre bi-turbo engine with a power output of 463kW and a massive torque figure of 1000Nm.
The S 65 accelerates from 0-100km in 4.1 seconds and hits an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. The S 65 AMG is also geared to fit in to the future of “greener” cars, with a decent fuel consumption figure of 10l/100km which is equivalent to 279 g/km CO2.
On the inside, the AMG Exclusive package option will provide leather upholstered sports seats, a leather roof liner, leather-lined dashboard, and door centre panels in a diamond-pattern design. Typical to AMG is its instrument cluster where information is displayed on two animated round dials on the standard 31.2 centimetre, high-resolution colour TFT display (touchscreen).
Details of the S 65 AMG Coupé being released in South Africa have yet to be confirmed.
