I took a test drive in the Nissan X-Trail 2.5 Acenta 4WD CVT accompanied by Francois Jacobs, New Vehicle Sales Manager at Nissan The Glen. There is no mistaking the distinct nature of the new Nissan X-Trail – it provides convenience matched with intelligence. The minute I got behind the wheel to experience this quirky and sporty vehicle, I felt a real sense of adventure.

Drive

The new X-Trail is a modern vehicle, emphasised by sculptured lines and a definitively stylish edge. Powered by 126kW and 233Nm of torque, this Nissan X-Trail is the perfect SUV for the outdoorsy, adventurous type of family.

Exterior

It has dynamic styling throughout with a new V-Motion grille and bumper, revised headlights and signature day-time running lights that give it a more contemporary appearance. The front also features integrated fog lamps while the back incorporates boomerang-shaped LED taillights and a new rear bumper.

Interior

The X-Trail’s interior consists of black leather trim and a D-shaped steering wheel which add to its sportiness. Smooth and flowing lines with chrome outlining give the new X-Trail an added sense of refinement.

You can control every drive or off-road setting from the redesigned central instrument panel with 4.2-inch TFT display. There is also a built-in cooler box, seat heaters and seat ventilation as well as automatic dual zone air conditioning.

Safety

Nissan have also added some important safety technologies and updates, which include Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility (NIM) for the top-of-the-range X-Trail derivatives. NIM highlights are blind spot detection, lane intervention, cross traffic alert and forward collision warning, to name a few.

And…

The new Nissan X-Trail is available in a variety of colours from orange to Military Green.
