Nissan is offering a special Silver Anniversary Edition of their rugged Hardbody, commemorating 25 years of the nameplate. More recently, the Hardbody had the title of NP300 tacked to its moniker.
This puts it in their workhorse sub-category; alongside the smaller NP200, differentiating them from lifestyle-orientated models like the Navara. You can have the Silver Anniversary in single or double cab guises.
Power comes from that proven 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine (98kW and 304Nm). The limited edition single cab model boasts R15 000 worth of extra gear. This includes leather seats with Anniversary Edition branding, a rubberised load box, black nudge bar, leather door panels and tinted windows.
The double cab variant has more. In addition to the above, it features an integrated navigation system, reverse camera and DVD player. There’s also Bluetooth connectivity, iPod and USB accommodation.
The single cab will cost R255 000 while the double cab goes for R335 000. Both are only available in 4×2 guise. Included is a six-year/150 000-kilometre warranty.
