Few vehicles can muster the same attitude as a cabriolet. Match the design class with a luxury brand that is known for technological advance and elegant design and you have a winner. The AUDI A3 Cabriolet is a marriage between luxurious lines, finishes and features and the technology that makes AUDI the trusted stable it has become.
You can design your AUDI A3 to your hearts content, adding features, choosing colours and finishes and choosing equipment packages to suit your needs and budget. The fully automated fabric top opens up to a speed of 50km/h, ensuring a proper wind-in-your-hair experience. The optional acoustic top offers a particularly quiet driving experience.
The external design showcases the character of this vehicle as elegant lightness yet capable performance. The interior is AUDI quality that can be upgraded from standard leather to a range of options to customize your AUDI experience. The AUDI virtual cockpit is also now available for this model as is a range of driver assist features depending on the package you prefer. The standard features include a rear traffic-crossing assistant that warns about possible collision risks when leaving a parking bay or when backing up into a parking spot.
Standard equipment includes the xenon plus headlights including all-weather light in new distinctive graphics, the Bluetooth interface and the MMI radio with 7-inch display are, for example, even in the basic equipment on board. The optional extra’s include the AUDI virtual cockpit, Matrix LED lights, dynamic indicator lights (at the front and back) and the all-new traffic jam assist, which works with the Audi adaptive cruise control with a Stop & Go function, assisting the driver to maintain a set distance from the car in front.
All A3 Cabriolets come with a 5.8-inch display screen, alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone connectivity, dual-zone climate control and a triple-layer electric folding roof that doesn't let too much noise in on the motorway. Being a cabriolet, although recent models have been designed slightly more spaciously, the back seat is still a bit cramped.
Three petrol and three diesel engines are available. A three-cylinder engine is offered for the A3 series for the first time with the 1.0 TFSI. The most economical of the engine options is the 1,6 diesel that is capable of 4 litres per 100km. The smoothness of the ride is dependent on your package of choice; with the sportier S-Line and Sport suspension is designed to rather provide optimal performance for fast cornering than comfort. The standard SE suspension will give you a smooth and more comfortable experience.
