Mercedes Benz C Class for Sale
The Mercedes Benz C Class compact executive vehicle was first launched in 1993. Since then four generations of the C Class have been manufactured with a brand new face-lifted model in 2018. Depending on the year model and generation, it is a representation of a certain design language and high-end sophistication expected from the three pointed-star brand. Leading the market in terms of entry-level executive luxury, the C Class has remained a firm favourite for more than two decades.
The first generation has the familiar “box-shape” of the 1990’s Mercedes Benz C Class design language and with smoother, rounded lines, short, higher boot and taller rear lights. As generations were revamped and released, the design stayed within Mercedes Benz brand parameters and updated to fit the era and luxury vehicle design of its class.
The 2000 – 2007 second-generation Mercedes Benz C Class was released not only with updated more elongated exterior design sloping roofline and lower front. It is available in inline-four and V6 petrol engines as well as inline-four and –five and -six-cylinder diesel configurations. The diesel models in this generation feature direct fuel injection and variable geometry turbochargers improving fuel consumption and optimum aspect ratio. The following generation (2007-2014) sports an extended wheelbase, new LED rear lights, redesigned instrument panel, and dashboard as well as updated headlights and front fascia
The fourth generation (2014 – 2018) is the first car to use the Mercedes Benz Modular Rear Architecture combined with significantly lighter body structure using aluminum and high strength steel, resulting in a much lighter vehicle with better fuel consumption. The exterior is also on par with its class rivals, with smooth, sloping lines, sleek curves, and Mercedes Benz quality interior.
The 2005 model is a good benchmark with regards to second hand Mercedes Benz C Class available. The exterior design of this year model introduced a sleeker more aerodynamic visual era for the C Class, consistent with the feeling of luxury, and traditional quality. This particular year model is available in a powerful four or six-cylinder petrol or diesel engines with automatic or manual transmission. The interior is well laid out, minimalist, high-end and functional. Roomy interior combined with leather and/or fabric upholstery, comfortable bucket seats and well-designed headrests all add to this vehicle's popularity. The 2005 model was also released with a CD player, iPod-docking station with an old-world charm to the interior. Base trim levels use hard plastics while upper trim levels, luxurious wood paneling are available.
Driving experience is superb in all engine configurations and top fuel consumption has been measured at 11,4km per liter unless you opt for the V6 C55 AMG with all the power you would expect but less economical at around 7km per liter.
