Toyota FJ Cruiser For Sale
The Toyota FJ Cruiser for sale was manufactured from 2010 – 2017 and is the upmarket, high-end mid-size SUV from the Japanese manufacturer. With a retro styling and head-turning design, our Toyota FJ Cruiser cars for sale is in part a zooshed up version of the Prado.
Our selection of used Toyota FJ Cruiser cars for sale has a short wheelbase but doesn't let that fool you. It is a massive vehicle with an imposing demeanor and over-sized fittings. From the rear-view mirror to the handlebars, this vehicle makes a bold and aggressive impression. It presents as a broad and stable off-roader that can hold its own style-wise against life-long rivals Jeep and Land Rover.
The grille headlight and vertical windshield pay homage to the original 1980's FJ40 Cruiser. The interior design has been focussed on off-road user-friendliness. All interior surfaces are covered with washable materials even offers a comfortable drive for drivers wearing gloves. Knobs and dials are big and bulky and creature comforts for the otherwise utilitarian interior include an audio/CD sound system with 6 speakers, iPod, external audio and USB ports, a power socket, and speed control. The seats are spacious and comfortable although the door configuration is unusual. Visibility is also a challenge with the spare wheel mounted at the rear of the vehicle.
The FJ’s performance is on par with its looks. Although it is a massive vehicle it handles very well and the 4 litre V6 petrol engine churns out power enough to accelerate from 0 – 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.6 seconds. Not advisable for a V6 petrol though, the heavier the foot, the thirstier the beast. The FJ is only available in automatic transmission and also offers a more economic 3 litre turbodiesel option.
With such a bulk, our selection of used Toyota FJ Cruiser cars for sale does roll slightly in corners but handles well on all surfaces. It is doubtful that owners of the FJ will take it off-road but true to Toyota legacy it is more than capable. With a high enough ground clearance, high riding suspension arrangement and powerful engine no terrain will be a challenge for the FJ.
The powerful V6 consumes around 12 litres of fuel per 100km with a slightly lower figure for the 3 litre turbo. This vehicle was not built for fuel economy but a tribute to 70’s and 80’s Cruisers, with a bit of bling on the side.
