Toyota Quantum For Sale

Our selection of Toyota Quantum cars for sale is an institution on South African roads. This people mover as been in production since 1967 and body styles manufactured are not only the minibus but also the panel van and bakkie style. Also known as the HiAce, Quantum in South Africa has been around since 2004. Durable and hardy, the long-wheelbase, high roof people mover can (legally) seat up to 15 passengers, although we know this fact has been tested on our roads numerous times. Available in petrol a 2,2 litre was also on offer.

The youngest model on offer in the second-hand market is the 2019 model with a face-lifted external design, echoing Toyota’s overall evolution in design. The most notable difference is the nose, which now presents as a bonnet space, which makes the interior much roomier and provides better aerodynamics. This change has increased length, interior space, and comfort. The front design displays a prominent grille unifying the radiator and slanting headlights, displaying a prominent Toyota badge. This face-lifted model features colour-coded bumpers and door handles, Led daytime head-lights 16inch wheels, and multi-functional side mirrors that enhance visibility. Sides are wide and visibility is excellent all-round with a generous rear bumper, highly visible tail lights. Also available in South Africa as a panel van.

Interior wise it is durability and user-friendly with an emphasis on space and comfort. The interior finish is a combination of beige plastic, synthetic leather, and durable fabrics. The sliding door width has been increased by around 70mm for easier access and high-performance air conditioning ensures comfort for rear-seat passengers (in higher trim levels) and roof-mounted air-vents in selected models.

Good to know is that our used Toyota Quantum cars for sale is furnished with several safety features including, ABS and electronic brake-force distributions, stability control and hill assist control that prevents the bus from rolling back on an incline. It is also fitted with a very sensible trailer sway control, which will detect potentially dangerous trailer movement. Apart from that, airbags, wireless door lock, and safer impact in case of a collision because of the bonnet configuration all make the latest Toyota Quantum for sale a safer passenger vehicle.

Performance-wise the suspension has been updated adding comfort to a ride and the redesigned bonnet adds to a more stable and quiet journey. The 2,8litre engine is powerful and more fuel economical than its predecessor. Our used Toyota Quantum cars for sale engines produces a maximum power of 130kW for the panel van and 114kW for the taxi. The gearbox is a six-speed manual and is built to provide the best fuel consumption (recorded at around 8,7 litres per 100km) and dynamic performance. Gearshifts are smooth and easy.
