The Porsche Cayenne is a whole series of luxury SUVs produced by German automaker Porsche since 2002. The Cayenne was the first V8-engined car produced by Porsche since 1995, when they discontinued the Porsche 928. It was also Porsche's first venture off road since its tractors of the 1950s, and the very first Porsche with four doors.
The second-generation Cayenne was unveiled at the?2010 Geneva Motor Show. Due to Porsche being part of the Volkswagen group, the Cayenne shares its platform, body frame, doors and electronics with the Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7.
The 2014 facelift revealed minor external changes, and introduced an E-Hybrid version, with its public launch at the Paris Motor Show. All engines have featured direct injection technology since 2008. In 2017, the third generation was unveiled.
The S is powered by a 4.5L V8 engine with variable valve timing and a dry-sump lubrication system. Cayenne S produces 254 kW and 420 N⋅m of torque. It goes from 0-100km in under 7 seconds with a top speed of 241 km/h.
The GTS 957 is powered by a 298 kW, 4.8 L V8 motor with a sport suspension and 21-inch wheels. It is made lighter than the Cayenne S thanks in part to an aerodynamic body kit. The Porsche Cayenne GTS boasts a 0-100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds and has an option of a six-speed manual gearbox.
