These car scores are high in terms of reliability and economy. Happy Hyundai Getz drivers have reported that the car has been great and repairs have been minimal year after year. This is a solid choice as an economical starter car for your teen or a run-around for anyone who is budget-conscious. Even though the model is no longer in production, spares are easy to find and affordable.
In 2004, the Getz scored an overall four-star rating from the Euro NCAP. The model tested featured driver and passenger airbags, seat-mounted thorax and head airbags, and front seat belts with pre-tensioners and load limiters. The Euro NCAP described the car as a "reasonably balanced performance" and "generally good" in-car protection for kids. The driver seat belt reminder is an additional safety feature that is uncommon on compact cars.
The Hyundai Getz is not recommended for big and tall drivers, but it is fairly comfortable otherwise. The interior is nothing fancy, but perfectly serviceable.
In terms of performance, it has been described as a bit “sluggish when climbing hills but a quiet cruiser at highway speed”. The performance will naturally fall between the 1,3 and 1,6- litre models. The top speeds are similar. However, acceleration to 100 km/h is 1.18 seconds slower, while the 1km sprint takes a little over a second longer.
