Toyota Rush For Sale

The Used Toyota Rush for sale is a mini compact SUV manufactured since 2008. This ‘baby Fortuner’ is relatively new to South Africa, first making an appearance in 2018. The Toyota Rush car for sale is a descendant of the Diahatsu Terios that was available in South Africa until the Japanese manufacturer closed operations in South Africa in 2015. Since then, Diahatsu became a wholly-owned subsidiary under the Toyota banner.

With SUV’s becoming a very competitive market sector in South Africa, the pre-owned Rush slots in next to the Honda BR-V and Ford EcoSport. The Rush is a handsome vehicle. The external design mimics the new Fortuner in no small way. LED strips in the headlights, aerodynamic curves, aggressive grille, impressive ground clearance with 17inch alloy wheels, it looks like a high-end vehicle, although the price is much more competitive.

The cabin design does not disappoint either. The interior is not only durable but also stylish in hard plastic and durable fabrics with a high-quality feel. The instrumentation is well thought out, elegant and neat. The second-hand Toyota Rush has a comprehensive infotainment system with a touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and, satellite navigation system. Electric windows push start and retractable side mirrors with climate control in the front and back add to the feeling of luxury. Other technological advances are definitely in the safety department. Stability control, 6 airbags, hill assist, reverse-view camera and, parking sensors are all standard in the pre-owned Toyota Rush for sale.

The Rush has a 5-seater configuration. Without the third row of seats, the cargo space is the largest in its glass at 609 litres. The used Rush for sale has a loading bay with a square opening making it easier to load bulky objects and the second-row seats can be folded down in a 60:40 split for even more space. The spare wheel is mounted underneath the vehicle, ensuring a flat loading surface. Passenger space is roomy, even at the back and the driver's seat is adjustable with excellent visibility.

The 1,5litre 4-cylinder petrol engine is powerful enough and more economical than its bigger sibling the Fortuner. It is light for an SUV at around 1.3tonnes, adding to the nippy gear configuration. It is a high revving engine and might be a nuisance for some on a long trip and fully loaded the Rush might struggle to over-take with a power output of 77kW. Overall the economy combined with luxury look and feel seems to be the differentiators in the market. Fuel consumption is around 6,6litre per 100km.
